Sack catalogue description: Rare or unique Sheraton bow-front mahogany and flame satinwood tambour desk, the base section is deeply bowed, the drawers fronted by beautifully figured flame satinwood and with original chased cyma-curved brasses; ring-turned feet, the top drawer opens to form the writing section, the tall upper section has bowed tambours centered by a long flame satinwood door and small drawers above; various patterns of inlaid borders complete the brilliant design. Salem, Massachusetts or Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
