Notes:: Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany inlaid tall clock of rare small size, a compact proportioned, typical Willard case with fan-inlaid quadrants on door and base panel, brass reeded fluted quarter columns and hood columns; original ogee bracket feet, fretwork and brass finials, the enamel moon dial is inscribed, the door retains the original engraved label and directions of Simon Willard engraved by I. Thomas, Jr.; choice mellow brown patina. Made by Simon Willard; the face plate is inscribed, "Warranted for Mr. Ethel Jennings. / Simon Willard," and the label reads, "Printed by I. Thomas, JUN. – Worcester." The inscription "April 5, 1839 / Clened / Recd pay / ...(?)" is written in chalk on the inside of the waist door.
