- Sack catalogue description: Classical gilt harp made and signed by Browne & Buckwell; that partnership was active in New York City between 1870 and 1878. American-made harps are quite rare; an example by this maker, signed "J. F. Brown & Co.," is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and dates to 1859–1866.
