- Sack catalogue description: Chippendale mahogany tall clock with brass spandreled moon phase dial inscribed, "John Wood, Philadelphia," the case exhibits the combined efforts of a master carver and cabinetmaker from that center; the superb proportions, wood grain and brilliantly carved scrollboard exhibit an excellence rarely achieved in contemporary examples. Descended in the Haskins family of Philadelphia.
