Sack catalogue description: Queen Anne maple desk-on-frame, removable bandied cabriole legs in the Newport manner ending in platformed pad feet, finely scrolled apron; one long drawer in desk section, the interior with pigeonhole drawers at ends and center is more developed than the usual desk-on-frame. The desk was lacquered in the nineteenth century; the lacquering has been removed, revealing a warm amber patina.
