- Sack catalogue description: Chippendale slant-top desk with beautifully figured crotch walnut veneered drawer fronts and lid with herringbone borders, bracket feet with whale's tail scrolled flaring brackets, the center pendant similarly scrolled; choice stepped-back interior, the upper row formed of blocked drawers, the center row capped by shell-carved drawer and flanked by document drawers; choice mellow patina.
