Sack catalogue description: Walnut grandfather clock in case of Queen Anne design, closed arched hood with keystone center, white wax inlay on corners dated 1773; wax inlay on waist of crown and initials, glass pendulum window, brass spandreled dial inscribed "J. Fisher, Yorktown"; John Fisher, who came to York, Pennsylvania in 1749, is known as the finest clockmaker from that center.
