Sack catalogue description: Chippendale mahogany tall clock, the case is distinguished by finely figured crotch grain, the base panel has chamfered fluted corners and rests on ogee bracket feet; the waist door with cyma crest is flanked by fluted quarter columns, the pedimented crest has dentil moldings and carved vine spandrels in the scrollboard, a crescent on the brass dial is inscribed "J. Wills, Philadelphia"; beautiful bronze patina.
