Sack catalogue description: Rare small scale William and Mary maple highboy, the fronts with crotch veneered fronts and herringbone borders, the drawers retaining the original teardrop brasses and escutcheons; triple arch aprons with applied beaded strips, the case is supported on trumpet legs connected by flat stretchers formed of a series of arches on ball feet, the piece has taken on a warm amber patina of depth and mellowness.
