The low neckline of this boldly patterned dress is filled in with a crocheted partlet of gold. Characteristically Italian, often there is no ruff.
Abstract:
In spite of its corsets, variety of hoops and bolsters, Italian dress is softer, looser, and more natural looking than the English. Sleeves, partlets and underskirts are interchangeable.
