Abstract:
For Roman citizens hair is short, combed forward, and neatly trimmed. Philosophers, influenced by the Greek style, are in beards and moustaches. The laurel wreath, symbol of victory and honor, is the most important hair decoration. Headbands are for ordinary dress.
