A very fitted, short tunic.
Abstract:
A semicircular cloak, a shortened form of the chlamys, is for young men. Usually bordered, it is fastened at the neck or shoulder. The Roman paludamentum is derived from this garment. The tebenna, also a semicircular cloak, is for ceremonies. It is always bordered, sometimes in two colors. The Roman toga praetexta is based on the tabenna.
