During the French Revolution, Alexandre Lenoir collected monuments from Medieval buildings, and opened his museum. The objects were returned to their owners during the Bourbon restoration in 1816, and the museum now contains plaster casts. The print is by Réville and Lavalée after drawings by M. Vauzelles, with text by B. de Roquefort, Paris, 1816.
