Close observation reveals that the bodice of this gown is laced under the left arm. The partlet is made of an elaborately woven, sheer cloth of gold. The belt reflects the color of the satin undersleeves.
Abstract:
Compared to the stiff English dress and the harsh and heavily decorated German dress, Italian dress is soft and sensual.
