- Abstract:
- Hairstyles are elaborate and stiff. They are normally arranged low on the forehead and accented by a diadem. Shaped like a half-moon, the diadem lowers the apparent hairline and extends above the forehead. Back hair is frequently twisted into a large roll and covered by the flabellum, a veil. Blond hair is admired. Bleaching is common.
