1500 AD - 1699 AD
Notes:
This beribboned hair style suggests a turban. The small yellow barrette at the center of the headdress is a focal point of this very busy costume. Sleeves are elaborately ruffled and gathered. The elegant chemise is embroidered in a spoke-like design of Spanish influence.
Abstract:
Compared to the stiff English dress and the harsh and heavily decorated German dress, Italian dress is soft and sensual.
