Notes:
The himation as it is classically draped.
Abstract:
The himation is worn alone or over the chiton or colobium. Classically draped, one end of the fabric is placed over the front of the left shoulder, then the balance is drawn under the right arm and thrown back over the left shoulder. The chlamys is for travel or military purposes. It covers the left arm and is pinned close to the neck on the right side. Animal skins are for religious ceremonies and warmth.
