Daitokuji (Kyoto): Ryokoin, Mittanseki

Notes:
Mittanseki was built in the northwest corner of the Ryokoin shoin. Ryokoin was built in 1608 by Kuroda Nagamasa, in memory of his father. The founding monk was Shun'oku Soen. The calligraphy by Mian Xianje was first hung there in 1641. The alcove and chigaidana are in the northwest corner; the Mittantoko is in the southeast corner.
