J. L. Smith Sergeant Company H, 125 N.Y. Vols., was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital April 6th, 1865, with gunshot wound left shoulder, the ball entered one inch below clavicle, and passed out through superior fossa of scapula. Wounded March 31st, 1865, at the Battle of Hatcher's Run, Va. On admission the parts were in good condition, and constitution good. Treatment: light nourishing and supporting diet, and simple dressings. Transferred to U.S. Gen. Hospital, Troy, N.Y., doing well and parts nearly healed.
