Abstract:
Marriage contract, manuscript, ink and paint on paper, dated 3rd of Adar 5634 (1874) at Kashan. Below the traditional Aramaic text is an additional paragraph in Hebrew with regard to supplementary financial obligations on the part of the groom. The text is surrounded by a border in the shape of a scalloped arch and two cartouches on the bottom. Above the text are the traditional lions with the rising sun in the background and above the lions are images of two peacocks. The border has a floral decoration. The predominant colors are yellow, turquoise and light brown.
