In one letter Hollis says that he loves one of Nichols's sisters and asks, should she consent to marry him, would Mr. and Mrs. John B. Nichols approve. Endorsed on the letter is J. B. Nichols's reply that Hollis is too young and there will be no marriage. The other letters concern engravings and illustrations.
