- Abstract:
- With the design attributed to Alexander Jackson Davis, it was built in 1837 for Mrs. Elizabeth Cogswell Davenport Apthorp. Deeded to Yale in 1877, it was sold by the University in 1916 and then resold to Yale in 1928. Served as a residence, dormitory for women, and academic offices until 1974 when it became part of the School of Organization and Management.
