Abstract:
Composite image made up of ten small rectangular views of English scenery, some drawn to overlap and partially obscure others. One of the small views shows a city scene, with a bridge and cathedral visible; all the other views show the English countryside, with fields, trees, roads, small houses, and bodies of water prominent. A few human figures are visible, including a man on horseback, a man lying on a hill, and people riding in a carriage. The rectangular views are set against a gray background pattern with images of leaves, flowers, and birds.
