Portrait of Horace Walpole, full length, facing right, stooped forward slightly with bent knees, walking on tiptoe; wearing a lavender suit and tan stockings; holding a tricorne in front of him, his curled white wig exposed; woodwork, a vase, and a framed painting are visible in the background on the right; a bust on a pedestal, a stained glass window, and the railing to a staircase are visible through a doorway on the left.
