Notes:
Within a circle, bordered by oak leaves and by a wide frame with the motto Nec Aspera Terrent upon it—a shield at center, with an azure chief featuring a rose and two fleurs-de-lis flanking it. To the left, upon an argent billet, is a caduceus. Beneath, at center, is a smaller argent shield with a left-handed palm upon it. Against an argent field stands a large, dark-colored dog. At the helm of the circle is a knight's helmet gardant. At the crest; to the left, upon a torse, is a caduceus with a crown aloft—to the right, upon a torse, is a demi dark-colored dog gorged. Two large ostriches, also gorged, stand vigilant against the center design. Further below, hanging from the center design, is a large medal. Beneath the entire image, upon a long, flowing banner, is the motto Mutas Inglorius Artes.
