Sack catalogue description: Queen Anne walnut lowboy in superb state of preservation, retaining the original brasses, flame finials and acorn pendants; carved fans with incised line borders, fine mellow brown color. Formerly sold by Israel Sack to Henry A. Hoffman, prominent Rhode Island pioneer collector. This lowboy makes a matching pair with a Queen Anne walnut highboy, illustrated in American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, vol. 2, p. 466, pl. 1147.
