Sack catalogue description: Rare Pilgrim trestle-base table with butterfly wings, the table is entirely of sycamore with oak braces supporting the top, the top is secured on oak braces fastened with rose headed nails of which two original nails remain; the leaves hinge on shaped original iron H-hinges secured by rose headed nails, fine bold ball and ring-turned columns and medial stretcher, trestle feet with notched details; the shaped butterfly wings have the end sections of ancient vintage but later date, choice early color and aspect. This table was in the Radeke collection, Rhode Island School of Design; it was de-accessioned along with many other Pilgrim items in the 1950s.
