Sack catalogue description: Pair of Hepplewhite mahogany shield-back armchairs, the molded shields each enclose four bowed slats with thumbnail carving radiating from a floral-carved crescent, the tapered legs have bellflower-inlaid fronts and reeded sides ending in spade feet; fine bronze patina.
