- Sack catalogue description: Pair of Queen Anne walnut balloon-seat side chairs with rounded stiles and crest rails, finely modeled shell in deep relief centering crest, vase-shaped splat; superb mellow patina, probably made by John Goddard. A set of four chairs made by John Goddard for Moses Brown are virtually identical; they are owned by the Moses Brown School and illustrated in Carpenter, Arts and Crafts of Newport, pl. 11.
