Sack catalogue description: Queen Anne San Domingan mahogany turret-top card table, the frame with one drawer retaining the original bat wing brasses, cyma-shaped apron pendant; the knees are rounded to accentuate the rounding of the turrets with C-scrolled marginal borders and cyma-shaped three dimensional knee brackets, platformed pad feet, bronze patina. A group of turreted-frame tea tables and card tables of this distinctive formation can all be traced to the Boston area; some examples with this turret formation are illustrated in the following publications: Warren, Bayou Bend, no. 57 (card table), no. 58 (card table), and no. 61 (tea table); Downs, American Furniture, no. 370 (turret tea table); Hipkiss, The M. and M.
